I had the worst day today.
Just found out that other people can see my blog but I... the BLOGMISTRESS can't!!!
All I see is a big black nothingness.. maybe someone up there's trying to tell me something.
*yes I'm listening.. mm hmm.. yeah.. uh huh.. what was that again? NO my eyes are NOT closed!!!*
Haven't slept 8 hours in the last two days... so much homework.
Too much to handle at such short notice.
I keep telling myself to do my work consistently so it won't build up so bad.. but it has never worked, and believe me, I've been trying for the past two years!
I absolutely hated Lille today!
She nearly screwed me over on my choice of client for my Brand ID project.
She rejected New Age Circle cos they weren't established enough and she wanted to rejected Comics Connection today cos it was retail and not "packaging" like the rest of my classmates are doing.
I'm like... what the crud??
Isn't this supposed to be brand identity class?
Surely branding goes beyond mere physical packaging?
I mean, how is this different from Valuair? (which is the other option inthe brief)
At least my client is an estab;ish company unlike Valuair which is currently NON-EXISTANT!
So what if I don't do physical packaging like the rest?
Think of it this way.. I want to package the Supermarket and not just a product within it.
Lille kept finding reasons to reject my client.
1) If you want to do this stay away from trying to do the packaging in the style of one particular (comic) artist.
who ever said I wanted to do that in the first place? Were you listening to my presentation? All I said was that I wanted to strengthen the company's identity by giving it a more ORIENTAL theme since it DOES specialise in Japanese and Chinese comics...
2) You said that they were very much into the latest trends. And that they'll bring in anything that's popular at the moment. What if they decide to bring in Harry Potter books? How are you going to define the brand then?
Huh? Were you even listening to my presentation?? I did remember specifically saying that they deal in Jap and Chinese comics and in fact, they're kinda specialise? What has Harry Potter got to do with anything??
This was when Yeow Yong interjected and basically saved my ass from further grilling. I was so stunned I didn't know what to say to her...
Sigh.. I'm so misunderstood.
Either that or my mind thinks I'm saying one thing while my mouth speaks another..
