It's been a horrible week.
The Department decided that it wanted a new logo and we've been rushing and rushing and rushing to get everything changed. Bloody management can't bloody decide what the hell it wants. One minute we're changing logos, getting happier and happier with each completed artwork when...

Unsuspecting artists and designers everywhere open that innocent little email then lo and behold..
New logo specs.
15% grey as opposed to 20%. Slogan 5% darker. (can't remember what else)
You can hear the resounding echo the sound of jaws dropping all over the department.
On top of that Management was pushing for more, more, MORE!
An ambitious 36 page section on the 7th.
Sigh.
I've been so busy and stressed lately that I've actually considered killing myself one morning by sticking my red leaf pen in my throat just so I wouldn't have to go to work.
Thank God it's all over...
For now at least.
Apparently they're going to restructure the ad scooping system such that we don't have to delete the ".eps" at the end of each file that we usually do when we scoop the ad...
There are thousands of files... in our system... to rescoop all of them...
*faints!*
I can't think coherently. Everything breaks up in fragments so I can digest it easier. My temper is in shreds. I snapped at my parents a couple of times for next to nothing and I feel horrible about it. I apologise as soon as what I'd done registers but the damage has already been done no matter how much is said after. This can't be good over any extended period of time. I can't even begin to think of how many sales people I've taken a bite out of.
I found that I can be vicious. Rabid even. Someone give me my shots!
At least it's the weekend and I can rest easy for two days.
Am watching Peacemaker Kurogane while writing this entry. My favourite anime as of now. Loads of bishounen :P When there's no eye candy around the office one has to make do somewhere else even if they're 2D. One has to look at pretty things every now and then..
Watched Corpse Bride (C.B.) on Wednesday. I had a deadline in early the morning but I got it in my head that I just HAD to watch a movie otherwise I'd just die. (That very morning I wanted to stab myself with my pen.)
It was cute but with surprisingly little substance for a Tim Burton movie. Nightmare was waaaay better. I wonder if my usual movie buddy (yo brummie!) who so recently hauled ass over to fair Britannia to study has watched it yet?
C.B. has a very disappointing ending. Dissolving into butterflies??? COME ON!!! I wasn't weaned on sunshine and fresh air. What have I learnt? Love does not transcend the grave. Talented, eccentric but weirdly beautiful girls never get the guy, "kwai kias" do. Johnny Depp is brilliant as usual. Helena Bonham Carter was a wrong choice as an Emily voice over.
I can't dissect movies for nuts.
Nothing meaningful ever comes out anymore. Where's the awe-inspiring, the deep and insightful?
