Oxymoron from the 80s? Perhaps... but very true and very relevant.
A friend called me unexpectedly today and we spoke for a long while.
A prevalent topic discussed was : Never trust men.
Then we started quoting David Bowie (note : first girlhood crush) in Labyrinth (see above quote). I was arguing that in a relationship there should be two seperate personalities coexisting with each other. My friend's point of view was that submissiveness brings about a new level of control. In a way, I kinda see my friend's point. On the other hand I also find that a bit too much of a sacrifice in terms of personal freedom. This coming from one who's never truly been in love. In lust may be, but never in love.
I hope I'll never know the pains that love brings. The thought of knowing love, in that context, is a scary thing. If that is how love goes, then I pray I'll never know love. Not like that.
