I have endured a loooooooong, uneventful day at work (I refuse to include the stupidities that were inflicted upon my intelligence) and was rewarded with 1.5 hrs basking the screen presence of Takeshi Kaneshiro in Perhaps Love. Entirely satisfying feast of eye candy. Weird ending though. I'd say it was alright 'cept that this is one movie I won't see again or buy the DVD of. Weird. Tons of Takeshi eye candy moments but still...
Weird. Like a melancholic Moulin Rouge wannabe. I think Jacky Cheung was smashing on the vocals for this thing. Power personified.
A quick recap on my weekend for anyone who wants to know...
Friday Night
Bought my family dinner since I got my 13th month bonus. Went for sushi buffet at Igen. Gorged on mekajiki (sword fish) sashimi cos everything else wasn't up to standard. Joined Lynn Deyi and NUS archi gang for a night out at Nude. Some NUS business faculty bash or something. The Luck Faery apparently dusted Lynn that night cos she won a Zen MP3 player from Creative in a lucky draw. Got real high and went wild on the dancefloor with very game archi girls and guy. NUS Business people reeeeally aren't very fun to watch. Nearly barfed on that last tequila pop though, but thank gawd I didn't... it would have been THE face thrower of the year and that is NOT how I want to end my year.
Saturday
Woke up at around 8:30, decided it was still too early and went back to sleep. Woke up finally at 12. Went down had my brekkie/lunch then went back upstairs for round 2, Zzz : The Sequel. Then my mom woke me up to do some home improvement shite (i.e. painting the back wall. Entirely ruined my manicure by the way...)
Sunday
SHOPPING again. REAL christmas shopping this time (I finally recalled that christmas isn't just about me buying beautiful gifts for me and that I actually do share this materialistic planet with other sentient(?) beings.) Went to collect my new specs in the evening, they're feeling a little funny (this feeling insiiiiiiideeeee :P) think I'll go back this weekend to get them adjusted.
Well I suppose that's about it...
Wonder how all my lost friends are doing overseas. Merry Christmas to you all where ever you guys are!
Came up with a thought in the middle of Perhaps Love while watching Takeshi floating in a pool complete with PJs and bathrobe. That's how I got the idea of...
"Angel in a bathrobe, the Girl with Starlight in her eyes and the Boy who Loved her"
Think that'll make an interesting story. Am not gonna post it online in case some enterprising lil fuck comes along and rips it.
